Villa Riefenstahl, Protected architectural villa in Schmargendorf, Germany
The two-story residence features high windows facing the garden, a gabled roof, and connects to a garage through a western wall.
The property was built in the 1930s for film director Leni Riefenstahl on land formerly owned by the Wertheim department store family.
The entrance hall extends to the garden side, leading to a grand living room that received attention in the Berlin Illustrated Newspaper.
The ground floor contained work areas and archives, while the upper level housed bedrooms, bathrooms, guest rooms, and a dressing area.
In 2019, new owners Joerg and Maria Koch renovated the interior to create a design opposing the original aesthetic principles of Riefenstahl.
