Waldbad Neuwürschnitz, Forest swimming lake in Haderwald, Oelsnitz Erzgebirge, Germany.

Waldbad Neuwürschnitz is a bathing lake of about 4 hectares at the centre of the Am Haderwald recreation complex in Oelsnitz, named after the nearby Neuwürschnitz district. Around the water lie lawns, a children's water play area, a playground, three beach volleyball courts, table tennis tables and a large chess and draughts field. The site also holds a forest stage, the Waldbühne, used for open-air cinema, amateur theatre and concerts.

The Große Steinhübelteich, one of seven ponds of the Oelsnitz Rittergut, burst its dam on 7 April 1901 after days of rain, flooding the quarry that later became the Waldbühne. The pond was not restored. After 1945, Neuwürschnitz citizens rebuilt the site as a recreation centre, creating the Waldbühne in 1955/56 and re-damming the pond as the Waldbad.

The Große Steinhübelteich was known locally as the Gondelteich, the boating pond, before it was dammed again as the Waldbad. The Waldbühne, built in 1955/56 through voluntary labour, now hosts seasonal cinema screenings, amateur theatre and open-air concerts.

The complex lies in the Haderwald near Neuwürschnitz, centred on a roughly 4-hectare bathing lake. A Radrastplatz on the Karlsroute long-distance cycle path, which links Karlsbad with Chemnitz, serves cyclists passing through. The site was comprehensively renovated in several stages from 2011 as the Naherholungskomplex Am Haderwald.

Adjacent to the swimming area stands a bungalow village and a tent camping site, allowing visitors to stay overnight in the forest. These accommodations are integrated into the leisure area, creating an extended retreat option for those seeking nature and relaxation.
