Wellblechpalast, Ice hockey arena in Hohenschönhausen, Germany
The Wellblechpalast features a distinctive iron sheet roof and provides seating for 1,600 spectators, with additional standing room for 3,095 people.
Built in 1963, the arena served as the home stadium for SC Dynamo Berlin until the team transformed into Eisbären Berlin and continued playing there until 2008.
The name Wellblechpalast, meaning corrugated roof palace, originated from a journalist's observation in the 1990s and became an endearing term among local supporters.
Located at Weißenseer Weg 51-55, the arena maintains a regulation size ice rink measuring 60 meters by 30 meters for competitions and training sessions.
The facility functions as a training center for Eisbären Berlin and hosts matches for junior teams, maintaining its role in developing future hockey talent.
