Johanniskirche, Medieval church in Zittau, Germany
The Johanniskirche features two distinct towers, with the south tower offering mountain views and the north tower displaying neo-Gothic architecture by Karl Friedrich Schinkel.
Following destruction by Austrian forces in 1757, the church underwent reconstruction under architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel's direction and reopened its doors in 1837.
The church contains a remarkable organ from 1930, recognized as one of the most important preserved musical instruments from the period between World Wars.
