Rosengarten, Bad Kissingen

Rosengarten is a public park in Bad Kissingen with around 160 rose varieties planted in 6,000 bushes spread across several pathways along the Balthasar-Neumann-Promenade. The garden combines these diverse roses with open grassy areas and seating spaces for visitors.

The garden developed as Bad Kissingen grew from a spa town built around newly discovered mineral springs into a modern resort destination. Over time, the space transformed from an exclusive area into a public place where all visitors could walk and relax.

A monument within the garden honors Balthasar Neumann, a celebrated baroque architect, and Georg Anton Boxberger, who discovered the mineral springs that made Bad Kissingen famous. This dedication shows how the town values the people and moments that shaped its identity.

The garden is free to visit and features paved pathways suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Cafes and seating areas line the nearby promenade, offering places to rest while you explore.

The park features a special fountain that synchronizes water jets with music and projects films onto a water screen, representing a rare installation of its kind in Germany. This technical feature creates an experience beyond the typical garden landscape.
