Pauliner Marsch is a large green space in eastern Bremen with open meadows, sports fields, and natural areas. The site includes soccer pitches, gardens, animal pastures, and is crossed by paths ideal for walking and cycling.
The area was originally marshland managed by the Paulskloster monastery in the 16th century. In the 1800s, the land passed to the city of Bremen and was gradually developed into a sports area with playing fields, later becoming home to Weserstadion.
The name Pauliner Marsch comes from the old Paulskloster monastery that once managed the meadows. Today, local residents use the space for relaxation and outdoor activities, while small animal projects with horses and goats echo the farming heritage.
The area is easily accessible on foot or by bike and borders residential neighborhoods. Paths are well-maintained and there is plenty of space for walking, training, or outdoor picnicking.
