Tiedthof is a 1910 building at Goseriede 4, erected as the Hanover trade unions' house and people's home to plans by architect Rudolf Schröder. Its four-storey neo-baroque monumental facade fronts office wings arranged around several courtyards. Since a 1998 conversion by the Christian Peters group it serves as a commercial and events building.

Built in 1910 by architect Rudolf Schröder on the site of a former textile factory at Nikolaistraße 7, now Goseriede 4, the Tiedthof was the centre of Hannover's Social Democratic labour movement, housing the Allgemeiner Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund, SPD offices and the Volkswille press. On 1 April 1933 SS troops stormed the building, one month before other German union houses were seized; 25 people were arrested. A memorial stone followed in 1983, and the complex was converted into offices and an event venue in 1998.

Locals called the whole block "Der rote Block" (the red block) because it housed the SPD, the Allgemeiner Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund, the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and the editorial office and print shop of the journal "Volkswille". The site also held a hotel, a cinema, a restaurant and the 6,000-seat "Volksheim" hall. Since 2021 a memorial plaque by the city and the DGB marks the 1933 storming in the entrance area.

Tiedthof stands at Goseriede 4, near the Steintor in Hannover's Mitte district; the nearest Stadtbahn stop is Steintor. The complex is entered from Goseriede, with office tracts grouped around several inner courtyards. The DGB memorial stone of 1983 was moved to the neighbouring Verdi-Höfe during the 2021 roadworks on Goseriede.

The building carries identification number 30740226 in the Monument Atlas of Lower Saxony and is thus officially registered as a protected cultural monument. This registration documents its importance for regional architectural heritage and protection against unplanned changes.
