Hoher Berg, Hill summit in Döbern, Germany.
Hoher Berg is a 183.7 meter hill in Döbern and forms the highest point of the Muskauer Faltenbogen. The summit hosts a military radar facility with a 45 meter tower, which restricts public access to the peak area.
In the 1930s, a gliding site was established here by the German Air Sports Association. The location attracted around 200 members from the local flying club at that time.
The hill is part of the Muskauer Faltenbogen Geopark and displays the geological features that shaped this region. Visitors can observe how ice age forces created the distinctive landforms visible here today.
The summit is not accessible to visitors due to the military radar installation. However, the surrounding slopes and nearby areas offer good viewpoints and walking trails to explore the region.
The northern slopes serve as the source of the Malxe River. A large nature reserve spans this area and protects the rare habitats found throughout the region.
