Michaelskirche, Waiblingen

Michaelskirche is a Gothic church in Waiblingen featuring a distinctive tower that rises approximately 52 meters above the city. The tower has a square base that transitions to an octagonal bell chamber, while the interior contains a 55-register organ and five bells.

Construction of the current structure began around 1440 under the direction of Hans von Landau. The project experienced several interruptions due to the conflict between Count Ulrich V and Esslingen, which slowed building progress.

The church is dedicated to the Archangel Michael, a patron figure reflected in its religious importance to the city. Visitors can sense this connection through the artworks and architectural details throughout the space.
