Description
The Protestant Church of Lüttringhausen sits in the southern center of Remscheid and was built from unplastered quarry stone in Baroque style. The building features a prominent tower rising above the single nave and a sacristy topped with an angel figure.
History
A church occupied this site as far back as 1300, with a priest named Johann documented serving the community in 1365. The medieval building was replaced by the current structure following two major fires, the second occurring in 1733.
