Rotes Schloss Jagsthausen, Cultural heritage castle in Jagsthausen, Germany
The red-colored castle features a distinctive mansard roof and stands near the ancient Roman fort site in the Baden-Württemberg region.
Hans Reinhard von Berlichingen constructed the castle between 1572 and 1590, with additional facade modifications made during the 18th century.
The interior walls of the castle display original paintings from the late 16th century, preserving Renaissance artistic elements of the period.
The castle currently houses a restaurant offering regional cuisine and provides spaces for celebrations, corporate events, and wedding ceremonies.
The castle sits on the grounds of a former Roman castellum, next to Götzenburg, the primary residence of the Berlichingen noble family.
