The building features Neoclassical architecture with a two-story stone construction, slate-covered hipped roof, and ornate stucco decorations throughout its interior spaces.

Built in 1743 as a farmstead, the structure underwent major reconstruction in 1810 under Heinrich Wahlster, a wealthy timber merchant and mayor of Heusweiler.

Joseph Beunat created elaborate stucco work inside the château, representing the refined architectural preferences of early 19th-century German nobility.

The château spans 2,403 square meters across multiple levels, featuring a pool, therapy rooms, and various medical facilities from its previous use as a rehabilitation center.

From 1948 to 2014, the property transformed from a children's retreat for mining families into an orthopedic trauma rehabilitation clinic.
