St. Josef

St. Josef is a parish church built in Romanesque Revival style, featuring a bell tower, nave, and transept with intricate stonework. The structure displays detailed architectural elements throughout, creating a cohesive interior and exterior design.

Construction took place between 1868 and 1880 in the Güchenbach area, followed by an expansion with a transept and choir in 1887. This enlargement was carried out by contractor Schultheis from Saarbrücken.

The church serves as a center for Marian devotion since receiving a replica of the Black Madonna from Altötting in 1945. This statue shapes local religious practices and draws visitors seeking connection to this particular form of worship.
