Teltow Villages Walk, Hiking trail in southern Berlin, Germany
The Teltow Villages Walk is a hiking trail roughly 47 kilometers long through southern Berlin that connects multiple districts and neighborhoods. The route moves through forests, meadows, and farmland, with many access points served by U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations throughout.
The path follows the routes of farming communities that developed around the year 1900 in this region. Its course shows how rural villages gradually transformed into modern residential areas of the large city.
The walk links settlements with varied roots and reveals traces of old village buildings that still stand today throughout the journey. You can see how these communities maintained their character even as they became part of the city.
The walk can be entered at various points and used flexibly since many train stations are positioned along the route. Best conditions occur during dry weather, as some marshy sections can become muddy after rain.
Rudower Hohe rises about 70 meters above the surrounding area and offers views across Berlin where urban development and nature sit side by side. From this point the varying character of different neighborhoods becomes clear.
