St. Clemens, Parish church in Heimbach, Germany
The red brick church of St. Clemens exhibits strong Baroque architectural elements with white sandstone details and decorated interior spaces throughout the building.
St. Clemens Church was constructed between 1745 and 1753 under the direction of architect Johann Conrad Schlaun during the German Late Baroque period.
The religious building contains wooden altar statues, frescoes depicting scenes from Christ's life painted by Giuseppe Angeli, and intricate stucco work by local artisans.
Visitors can access St. Clemens Church daily between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM during weekdays, with modified hours on weekends and during religious services.
The church bell tower reaches 90 meters in height and contains five bells, each named after different saints, which have rung across Heimbach since 1753.
