Schloss Langenrain

Schloss Langenrain is a two-story manor house in Allensbach with a rectangular floor plan and gabled roof. The building features a stone staircase entrance, a multicolored tiled stove from the 18th century on the ground floor, and several outbuildings including a half-timbered barn and a cross-vaulted cellar used for events.

The manor was built in 1686 by Marx Anton von Ulm to replace an earlier widow's estate on the site. It passed to the Bodman family through inheritance in 1814 and remained in their hands for generations.

The coat of arms displayed above the western entrance shows heraldic symbols linked through marriage between two families. This visual record tells the story of the relationships that shaped the house across generations.

The property is accessible for visits and events, with historic rooms and outbuildings forming distinct areas of interest. Visitors should note that access and opening hours depend on the current use as a private residence.

From 1992 to 2006, the building served as a training facility for Konstanz University of Applied Sciences before returning to private use. This educational period left traces in the building's equipment that remain visible today.
