Christoph 32, Rescue helicopter at Klinikum Ingolstadt, Germany
The Airbus H135 helicopter operates with a team of two pilots, fourteen emergency doctors, and six paramedics from the Ingolstadt hospital base.
Established in 1991, Christoph 32 took over emergency medical flights from the Bundeswehr and has completed more than 41,600 missions in the region.
The naming convention follows the German air rescue tradition of using Christoph, after Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers.
The helicopter responds to emergency calls through number 112 and operates daily from 7 AM until sunset, covering a radius of 70 kilometers.
In 2015, the service upgraded to an H135 model, which reaches speeds of 230 kilometers per hour and maintains capability for night operations.
