Schloss Bellevue, Neoclassical château in Saalburg-Ebersdorf, Germany.

Schloss Bellevue is a neoclassical castle in Saalburg-Ebersdorf positioned on elevated ground between two settlements and overlooking the surrounding countryside. The building features a temple-like form with views reaching toward the distant Fichtelgebirge and Frankenwald mountain ranges.

Count Heinrich XXXV Reuss commissioned the castle's construction in 1783, creating a new landmark in the region. The building rose during a period when new trade routes were replacing the older path known as the Green Donkey.

The castle displays neoclassical architecture from the late 18th century and reflects the tastes of nobility of that era. The way it was built and designed reveals much about the lifestyle and values of the people who lived during that time.

The castle sits beside a main road between two settlements, making it easy to spot from the route between towns. Visitors should note that the interior is currently not open to the public, as the building remains closed to visitors.

The grounds feature centuries-old linden trees planted after an old trade route lost its commercial importance. These trees create a distinctive character around the building and serve as a reminder of the location's former role in regional trade networks.
