Karl-Turm, Modern office tower in Deggendorf, Germany.
The Karl-Turm is an office building with nine floors and a double glass facade that stands out in Deggendorf's skyline. The structure provides over 5,600 square meters of office space along with dining options and underground parking.
The building was constructed between 2017 and 2022 after initial opposition from residents who sought to limit its height to 22 meters. The project was ultimately approved and completed as originally designed.
The Karl-Turm houses the Michelin-starred restaurant edl.eins on its top floor, offering regional cuisine alongside panoramic views of Deggendorf.
The building is accessible by car with underground parking available, and visitors can find several restaurants and cafes inside. Plan time to explore the different floors where offices and meeting spaces are located.
During construction, the height was adjusted to 37.7 meters to prevent flotation caused by high groundwater levels. This technical solution was necessary to ensure foundation stability under challenging soil conditions.
