Schloss Haltenbergstetten

Schloss Haltenbergstetten is a castle with four wings arranged around an inner courtyard and a round tower at its northwest corner. The structure spans three stories and houses natural history collections and hunting exhibits in its east and south wings.

The castle was founded around 1200 by the Herren von Haldenberg and gained its present form through major renovations between 1550 and 1572. These restoration works transformed the original structure into a representative complex with Rococo features.

The Maria Immaculata chapel displays Rococo decorations that reflect the religious importance this place held for residents over time. The chapel's furnishings offer insight into the spiritual practices of past centuries.
