Städtisches Museum Zirndorf

The municipal museum in Zirndorf occupies a restored half-timbered building complex from the 18th century in the city center, presenting regional history across multiple floors. The rooms display objects related to toy manufacturing alongside artifacts from the period of the Thirty Years War.

The building served many purposes over time: it was an inn called Zum Hirschen, housed a bell foundry in 1663, and became the town's first pharmacy in the 19th century. These changing roles reflect how the city's economy and society shifted through the centuries.

The ground floor displays trace how tin toy production shaped the community over generations. You can see how this craft became woven into the daily life and identity of local families.
