Hedwigsburg, Renaissance pleasure palace in Kissenbrück, Germany.
The Hedwigsburg building features a four-row lime tree avenue leading to a hornbeam hedge labyrinth called Schneckenberg with an elevation point.
Constructed in 1578 for Hedwig von Brandenburg, wife of Duke Julius of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, the palace served as a summer residence for nobility.
At the end of the main avenue stands a prominent statue known as 'Fromme Johanna', representing strength in German architectural traditions.
Visitors can reach the former castle grounds through a gravel path starting at the 'Wilder Jäger' bus stop, with free access to the stamp station.
The estate contains two distinct manor sections: the eastern Rittergut Kissenbrück and the western Rittergut Hedwigsburg, divided by natural boundaries.
