Bürgerpark Marzahn, Public park in Marzahn district, Germany
Bürgerpark Marzahn is a public park in Berlin's Marzahn district with two ponds, open lawns, flower beds, and an extensive pathway network. The grounds contain multiple sections designed for walking, cycling, and outdoor activities.
The park was established in 1992 under the name Wohngebietspark and later took its current name. It expanded significantly in 2009 across land that previously held residential buildings along Ludwig-Renn-Straße.
The adjacent Garten der Begegnung serves as a community meeting place where neighbors work together on small garden plots and gather regularly. The space reflects how local residents connect through shared green areas.
The grounds include a children's swimming area called Platsch, multiple playgrounds, and a skateboard facility for different age groups. Well-developed pathways throughout make it easy to navigate on foot or by bicycle.
Adjacent to the main grounds, couples can plant trees at the Hochzeitspark to commemorate their weddings. These trees create a growing living memorial within the neighborhood.
