Schloss Ascholding

Schloss Ascholding is a castle in Dietramszell featuring an L-shaped structure with two wings and distinctive architectural elements. The building displays hip and steep rooflines, a roof turret, and an integrated chapel located at Schlossstrasse 42.

The castle first appeared in records around 1170 and underwent major changes in 1580 when Andreas Ligsalz redesigned it. Later modifications in 1811 by Baron von Maderny added new sections that completed the building's form.
