Bürgerhaus Langenberg, Concert hall and architectural monument in Langenberg, Germany.
Bürgerhaus Langenberg is an event venue in North Rhine-Westphalia with two main halls featuring stucco work, wall paintings, and ceiling decorations throughout the spaces. An Art Deco organ from 1917 forms a central element, while a smaller room serves for meetings and gatherings.
The building was commissioned in 1913 by Adalbert and Sophie Colsman during a period of significant construction activity in the region. During World War II it temporarily served as a hospital before returning to its original purpose afterward.
The building displays early 20th-century elegance through its ornamental details, wall paintings, and crafted organ that shape how visitors experience the space. The different halls serve various purposes and create an environment where performances and gatherings can take place throughout the year.
The main hall accommodates up to 500 guests and features modern technical equipment for various event types. The smaller room works well for more intimate gatherings or specialized events that need a cozier setting.
The organ was built by Paul Faust and features 49 registers across three manuals and a pedal, making it acoustically versatile for various performances. This handcrafted masterpiece from the early 20th century remains actively used in concerts today.
