Schloss Markt Wald, Royal palace in Markt Wald, Germany.
The castle features three floors with a cubic structure, two round corner towers, and a central round staircase tower on the south side.
Built for Konrad von Riedheim in 1477, the castle underwent reconstruction in 1536 after damages during the Peasants' War of 1525.
The palace represents the architectural influence of the Fugger family, who acquired the property in 1660 and maintained significant rights until 1848.
Currently inhabited by Leopold Count Fugger-Babenhausen since 2011, the palace underwent extensive restoration work costing 1.1 million euros.
Cast iron antlers decorate the conical roofs of the towers, adding a distinctive element to the palace architecture.
