Ringspitz

Ringspitz is a mountain summit located on the western side of Tegernsee lake in the Bavarian Alps. The peak sits at 1,293 meters and can be reached through several established hiking routes that wind through forest and alpine meadows.

The mountain has long served as a popular hiking destination in the Tegernsee region and became integrated into local mountain tourism routes. Its significance grew as the area developed as a mountain recreation destination in the 19th century.

The summit can be reached through multiple routes with varying difficulty levels. The southern approach from Ringberg Castle offers a more gradual climb, while the northern path becomes slippery during rainy conditions and demands careful footing.

Certain routes to the summit follow unmarked paths where hikers navigate using natural landmarks rather than trail signs. This absence of markers on some trails gives the climb a sense of personal discovery and self-reliance.
