RheinMain CongressCenter, convention centre and event venue in Wiesbaden, Germany
The RheinMain CongressCenter is a convention and multi-purpose event center in downtown Wiesbaden, with around 45 rooms and halls of varying sizes. Two of the largest halls can be divided using movable walls, making the building suited to both small meetings and large trade shows.
The site was previously home to the Rhein-Main-Hallen, a venue built in the 1950s with its foundation stone laid in 1956. That building was torn down and replaced by the current one, which was built between 2014 and 2018 and opened in April 2018.
The name points to the Rhine-Main region, the area between Frankfurt and Mainz where Wiesbaden sits. During events, visitors come from across this wider region, giving the venue a role that goes beyond the city itself.
The center is in downtown Wiesbaden and is easy to reach by public transport or by car, with a parking garage attached directly to the building. Entrances are clearly marked, and staff are on hand to help visitors find their way around.
The building received platinum certification from the German DGNB sustainability standard, one of the highest ratings a building can receive in Germany. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the center served as a vaccination site from late 2020 through September 2021.
