Kristall

Kristall is a residential tower at Große Elbstraße with a distinctive glass facade that creates a crystalline appearance. The building rises across 20 floors and houses apartments, each with private outdoor spaces.

The tower was designed by Dutch architect Kees Christiaanse and completed in 2011 as part of Hamburg's modern urban growth. Its construction marked a shift toward contemporary residential design in the city.

The tower adds to Hamburg's architectural landscape through its modern design elements and stands as a representation of contemporary German residential architecture.

The tower is accessible from street level, and its glass exterior ensures good natural lighting throughout the building. Visitors can view the exterior architecture from Große Elbstraße and explore the surrounding neighborhood.

The interior floor plans were designed by Italian architect Antonio Citterio, creating a connection between the building's external and internal design. This collaboration between architects from two different countries gives the project a rare international perspective.
