Brahms-Museum, Biographical museum in Neustadt, Hamburg, Germany
The Brahms-Museum occupies two floors of a merchant house from 1751, displaying photographs, manuscripts, concert programs, and personal items of Johannes Brahms.
The museum opened in 1971 near the original birthplace of Johannes Brahms, which was destroyed during World War II bombing raids in 1943.
The museum maintains a reference library containing over 300 books, complete editions of Brahms works, and an 1859 square piano used by the composer.
Located at Peterstraße 39, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00, offering guided tours through its exhibitions.
The museum houses a marble bust created by Ilse Conrat and contains an extensive collection of recorded music spanning the composer's entire repertoire.
