Barnim-Gymnasium Bernau is a general secondary school in the Waldfrieden district northwest of Bernau bei Berlin, one of two Gymnasien in the town. Its roughly 8,500 m² park-like campus is shared with the Oberstufenzentrum I Barnim and the Brandenburgklinik nursing school, and adjoins the Waldfrieden outdoor pool. With 1,048 pupils taught by 87 teachers, it is Brandenburg's second-largest school.

The Barnim-Gymnasium was founded on 7 September 1998, with Uwe Kosanke as its first acting head for two years. Renate Brandenburg took over in the 2000/2001 school year and introduced the Leistungsprofilklassen, unique in the Barnim district. Its campus belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Bauhaus Monument Bundesschule Bernau, the former trade-union school that founded the site. The first sod for an extension with 19 classrooms and a new dining hall was turned on 12 July 2024.

The school's name comes from the Barnim district, and it is one of two general Gymnasien in Bernau. Its MINT profile brings compulsory computer science from year 5 and participation in mathematics olympiads. Partner schools include the Istanbul Erkek Lisesi in Turkey, the German International School Washington D.C., the Bundes- und Bundesrealgymnasium Gmunden in Austria, the Deutsche Schule Quito in Ecuador and Ellinogermaniki Agogi in Pallini, Greece.

The campus lies northwest of Bernau in the Waldfrieden district, sharing its grounds with the Oberstufenzentrum I Barnim and the Brandenburgklinik nursing school; the Waldfrieden outdoor pool adjoins it. It is an active school, so access to buildings is limited to school business.

The campus is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Bauhaus Monument Bundesschule Bernau, the former school of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund that founded the site. The Barnim-Gymnasium shares this park-like campus with the Oberstufenzentrum I Barnim and the Brandenburgklinik nursing school, housed in the historic trade-union buildings.
