Stadtbad Zittau

Stadtbad Zittau is a neoclassical building with separate sections for men and women, featuring swimming pools and steam baths arranged in the classical style. The spaces are organized with architectural details from that era, showing how comfort and leisure were understood at the time.

The foundation stone was laid in 1871 after the city decided to build a new facility to replace the older Augustusbad, which had operated since 1816. The new building was created during a period when public baths became modern leisure facilities across Germany.
