Ehemaliger Schloss- bzw. Kavaliersbau der Reichsgräfin von Tilly-Montfort, Heritage castle in Breitenbrunn, Germany.

The former palace of the Countess of Tilly-Montfort is a two-story building with a symmetrical facade and mansard roof in late Baroque style. The structure features a decorative portal, careful window arrangements, and an eastern wing extension that originally housed administrative functions.

Construction began around 1733 when Maria Anna Katharina, Countess of Montfort, moved from Breitenegg Castle to establish a new residence here. She was the great-granddaughter of the military commander Johann T'Serclaes von Tilly and sought to create a fitting home for her family.

The palace was home to an influential noble family and reflects how Bavarian aristocrats lived in the 18th century. Visitors can see the grand rooms that demonstrate how the countesses conducted their daily affairs and exercised their authority.

The building sits above von-Tilly Street and is registered as a protected heritage site under number D-3-73-115-77 in Bavaria's official monument registry. Visitors should be aware that it is a protected structure with limited access to its interior depending on current use and preservation needs.

The eastern wing extension sets this palace apart from the nearby Gumppenberg palace and reveals how the building was designed to serve multiple purposes. This administrative function gave it a role beyond typical residential use in the regional governance of the county.
