The former Tilly-Montfort palace stands as a two-story building with symmetrical facade, decorative portal, and mansard roof in late Baroque style.
Maria Anna Katharina, Countess of Montfort and great-granddaughter of Johann T'Serclaes Tilly, constructed this palace around 1733 when she moved from Breitenegg Castle.
The palace serves as a central location for the annual Tilly Festival, which commemorates the historical significance of the Thirty Years War in Bavaria.
The architectural monument stands above von-Tilly Street and maintains protected status under registration number D-3-73-115-77 in the Bavarian heritage register.
The eastern wing addition to the palace, built for administrative purposes, distinguishes this structure from the later constructed Gumppenberg palace in the vicinity.
