Aufklärungsturm M

The Aufklärungsturm M stands 54 meters tall with a functional design featuring communication equipment and surveillance capabilities at different levels of the structure.

The tower operated as part of Marine Signal Station 711 within Marine Signal Sector 73 of Marine Signal Staff 70 until its decommissioning in 1992.

This heritage monument represents the military communication infrastructure of Schleswig-Holstein and maintains its status as a protected cultural landmark.

The exterior of the tower remains visible to visitors, while the municipality currently uses the surrounding premises for storage purposes.

The tower contains preserved military insignia of Marine Signal Sector 73 in its annex building entrance and maintains active radio relay connections.
