Paul-Fleming-Denkmal

The Paul-Fleming-Denkmal is a bronze statue standing on a stone base in the central marketplace of Hartenstein. The sculpture depicts a physician and poet who lived in the 17th century and came from this town.

The monument was unveiled in 1896 on the site of the former town hall, which had been destroyed by fire during the 19th century. A local politician initiated the fundraising effort in 1884 to gather money through public donations for this memorial.
