Villa Lemm

This property was built between 1907 and 1908 for shoe polish manufacturer Otto Lemm as a private residence. After 1945, British military authorities used the estate as a residence for their commanding officers in Berlin until the Cold War ended.

Under the ownership of Dr. János Plesch, this villa became a gathering place where artists and scholars met regularly. The house carries the memory of those lively intellectual gatherings in its walls.
