Tierpark Röhrensee

The Tierpark Röhrensee features animal enclosures and aviaries integrated into a natural landscape with mature trees surrounding a central lake.

The lake received its name in 1891 because wooden tubes for Bayreuth's first water pipes were stored at this location.

The animal park, managed by the City Garden Office since 1973, serves as an educational center about wildlife for local residents and visitors.

The facility remains open throughout the year without entrance fees and includes restaurants, kiosks, boat rentals, and playgrounds for various age groups.

Visitors can participate in animal protection projects, adopt trees, and schedule guided visits to the petting enclosure by appointment.
