Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg was a converted refrigerator factory transformed into a music venue with multiple performance spaces spread across different levels. The building contained several areas designed for live concerts, dancing, and other entertainment activities.

The venue opened in 1983 as a rock music space and quickly attracted major international performers. It remained a destination for prominent bands over the following decades until closing in 2019.
