Established in 1998, this nature reserve became the eighth and largest protected area in Bochum, marking a significant expansion of local conservation efforts.
The reserve represents North Rhine-Westphalia's commitment to environmental protection through the preservation of natural habitats and endangered species.
Visitors can access designated paths for walking, jogging, and cycling, while dogs must remain leashed throughout the protected area.
