Construction of the Weitblick building occurred between 2014 and 2016, with one new floor added every two weeks during the building process.
The structure received the Hugo Häring Award in 2017 for its architectural design and function as a visual marker at the southern entrance of Lörrach.
The building contains 20 residential units ranging from 83 to 170 square meters, with a total floor area of 5,500 square meters.
The tower incorporates 41 drilled piles and specialized thermal elements to separate the balconies from the main structure in earthquake zone 3.
