Terrassenbau Davenstedt

Terrassenbau Davenstedt is a fourteen-story residential tower in Hanover featuring distinctive black Eternit cladding on its eastern, northern, and southern facades with integrated planting troughs along the main elevation. The complex connects the tower to a residential area on the western side consisting of single and double-story atrium townhouses with flat roofs.

The tower was built between 1971 and 1973 according to designs by architect Horst Küthe and represents a turning point in modern residential development in Hanover. Its construction reflects the architectural trends of that era and efforts to create innovative housing solutions in the city.
