The Stadtkirche Bad Arolsen is a sandstone church with a slate-covered hipped roof and a tower topped by a baroque dome and weather vane bearing the Waldecker star and the year 1788. Its interior, finished in Rococo style, has a ceiling with white-gold stucco and a central stucco dove in a radiant halo. The altar area with pulpit and gallery lies at the west end, while the organ gallery is at the east.
The cornerstone was laid in 1735, marking the beginning of construction during an important period for the town. This building emerged when the city was developing as a princely residence and churches served as architectural focal points.
The interior displays ornate Rococo decorations with marble figures representing virtues, created by a renowned sculptor of the time. These embellishments shape the character of the church space today.
