Rittergut Brandenstein

Rittergut Brandenstein is a manor house in Saxony-Anhalt featuring a single-story main facade, a round tower, and a corner pavilion decorated with architectural details. The building combines classical design with regional craftsmanship and shapes the landscape with its well-balanced composition.

The von Arnim family built this manor house in 1900 and kept ownership until 1945. After German reunification in 1992, the estate returned to family hands.

The interior spaces display German craftsmanship through coffered ceilings, wood paneling, and stucco decorations that reflect early 20th-century design. These details still shape the rooms today and give visitors a sense of the wealth and taste of that era.

The cellar section of the estate houses the administrative offices of the Arnim Forestry Administration, while the main building serves as a family residence. Since it remains a private home, visitors should arrange access beforehand and keep respectful distance from the occupied areas.

The northern tower displays a large alliance coat of arms representing Achim Friedrich Hans von Arnim and his wife Anna Maria von Wietersheim. This elaborate heraldic work tells of the union between two noble families and their standing in the region.
