The museum, established in 1981, resides in the lower section of a 13th-century fortress that underwent substantial modifications during the mid-17th century.
The exhibition halls contain displays of traditional crafts, regional artworks, religious artifacts, and reconstructions of historical living spaces from the Neumarkt-Parsberg area.
Visitors can explore 43 stations using audio guides or a free mobile application, with each station providing approximately two minutes of detailed information.
The museum features a replica of the Parsberg Mask Fibula, demonstrating the advanced metalworking techniques of ancient Celtic craftsmen in the region.
