Nasses Dreieck

Nasses Dreieck is a free-access green area where three Berlin districts meet: Gesundbrunnen, Prenzlauer Berg, and Pankow. The space consists mainly of grassland and mixed plant communities.

This site emerged from a former border strip after the Berlin Wall fell and was gradually transformed into a natural space. Protected landscape status came later as the area's ecological value became recognized.

Local residents actively maintain and use this space, treating it as a community gathering spot worth protecting. People have worked together to ensure it remains open and accessible to everyone.

The southern entrance near the S-Bahn station is open to foot traffic and cyclists. Expect varied ground conditions throughout the area, so sturdy shoes are recommended.

The area provides a refuge for a small population of sand lizards that must be protected during any work. These reptiles make the site an unusual wildlife haven within the urban landscape.
