St. Ulrich, Heritage church in Hornburg, Germany.
St. Ulrich stands on a hill above Hornburg, featuring a rectangular nave connected to a rectangular tower with a saddle roof at its eastern end.
Initially constructed as a chapel around 1200 from a former watchtower, the structure received its first mention as a parish church in Hornburg in 1352.
The church interior contains a wooden barrel vault ceiling, while the tower room displays an intricate ribbed cross vault with remnants of choir seating.
Following extensive restoration work between 2006 and 2014 by a local support association, the building now functions as a cultural center for the community.
The tympanum above the entrance portal exhibits a carved Lamb of God holding a victory banner, complemented by decorative sandstone-framed rounded arch windows.
