The Wehranlagen extends over 40 hectares along the Main River, featuring a city park section and a forest park with diverse plant collections.

The area transformed from a military training ground in 1868 to a botanical garden, incorporating plant species from China, Japan, and Korea until 1890.

The garden includes walking paths, sports facilities, and gastronomy venues where residents participate in recreational activities throughout the seasons.

Visitors can reach the garden using city bus lines 61, 62, 81, and 82, with multiple parking spaces available near the internal access roads.

A private zoo operated within the garden from 1879 to 1944, featuring lions and zebras among native animals in the Pfinz region.
