Ufa-Palast am Grindel, Movie theater in Grindel district, Hamburg, Germany
The theater building featured a grand auditorium with 753 seats and showcased films on a large screen measuring 27 by 10 meters.
Opening in 1959 as Grindel-Filmtheater, the cinema underwent multiple renovations, including a significant expansion in the 1970s that added two additional screens.
The theater held exclusive rights for Cinerama and Cinemiracle films in Hamburg, presenting European premieres such as Doctor Zhivago in 1966.
Located at the Grindelberg crossroads near university facilities, the cinema attracted primarily students and young audiences throughout its operation.
The cinema's final screening took place on March 26, 2008, despite a petition gathering 14,000 signatures to prevent its closure.
