The building opened in 1972 as the headquarters for the Medical Office of the Federal Armed Forces. The organization relocated in 2002, leaving the structure vacant until major renovation work began.
The structure represents the architectural transformation of Bonn during the 1970s when the city expanded its urban infrastructure as the capital of West Germany.
The building underwent major renovation work completed in 2020 and now houses around 237 apartments. Its location in Beuel provides convenient access to local shops and public transportation.
The renovation project added two extra floors to the original structure, expanding its capacity significantly. The brown exterior was replaced with a lighter material, giving it a more contemporary appearance.
