Schloss Hohenroda

Schloss Hohenroda is a manor house located northeast of Fulda featuring multiple communal areas and outdoor terraces. The property contains seventeen bedrooms with private bathrooms, two large seminar rooms, and a fully equipped kitchen for hosting various events.

The Lords of Geyso built the original structure in 1662 after acquiring land from the Mansbach family. This established an important noble residence that influenced the region throughout subsequent centuries.

The castle features handcrafted furniture throughout its rooms, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary comfort. Visitors can experience this mix of historic artisanal work and modern amenities in every space.

The estate can accommodate up to 40 guests and features various spaces suited for different activities. Visitors should plan ahead to ensure the right facilities are available for their specific needs.

Following its renovation from 2018 to 2019, the castle received financial support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. This funding helped preserve the building's historic character while introducing contemporary updates.
